Q: Are you a licensed contractor?

A: Yes, Jack Oat Construction is a general contractor suited for your personal needs. We hold a Home Improvement Contractors License in the state of Pennsylvania.

Q: How do you charge for your Home Repair Concierge services?

A: Our HRC rates are fixed, based on a reduced hourly rate and available in 2 convenient options, Full-day (8hrs) and Half-day (4 Hrs) so that you can tailor our service to meet your budget. If your looking for help with a smaller installation or assembly project, take a look at our “Installation and Assembly” Service.

Q: Do you work weekends and evenings?

A: Yes, we do have evening and weekend availability. The best way to find weekend availability is to use our online booking tool and select the Home Repair Concierge weekend service. For evening service, please contact us at (814) 693-5650.

Q: What if the work list is not complete at the end of the scheduled appointment?

A: Prior to the appointment you will be contacted by an HRC representative to review your task list. We will make every effort to assure that that work schedule for the appointment can be completed in the allotted time. In the event of an overrun, incidental time (1/2 hr or less) will be covered by your HRC representative, Additional overrun (agreed to by the customer) will be billed at the standard labor rate.

Is your business insured to perform home repair?

Yes, we carry a minimum of a one million dollar general liability policy to protect you and your home.

Q: Does Jack Oat Construction provide materials?

A: The Home repair Concierge pricing is based on the customer providing the material but we are flexible and can tailor the service to your personal needs. You have the choice to purchase, pick up, and deliver the materials yourself or we will be happy to do these things for you. To help you make an informed decision, we can provide information on all the current building materials & products available on the market, including colors, shapes, sizes, durability, and warranty of these products. In addition, we stock our trucks with common materials that may be needed to keep the HRC technician on-site, on task and providing you with the most value for your dollar.
